“With the love and support from all the musicians, volunteers, silent and live donations, patrons, sponsors, staging, stage production, marketing, great friends, and family, we were able to raise over $180K. It was a beautiful day filled with great music and love in the air,” Terri Paulo commented.
On Sunday, February 23, 2025, Michael Paulo and Dave Koz hosted a sold-out show, LA Fire Jam, benefiting the Los Angeles Fire Relief Fund at South Coast Winery Resort and Spa in Temecula, California. All fundraising proceeds from ticket sales and the silent auction will support charities for fire disaster relief.
What a triumphant afternoon of music for LA Fire Jam, where over 50 crème de la crème contemporary jazz artists performed to raise money for LA fire victims. As the musicians arrived backstage, excitement built as they greeted each other with warm welcomes and hugs. Concertgoers spread across the vast lawn, enjoying the beautiful weather that blessed this special day. At 2 p.m., the festivities kicked off, and the entourage of musicians hit the stage non-stop until sunset, four hours later.

A beautiful, poignant performance took place between Chris Walker and Dave Koz as they honored the recent loss of Christopher Walker II. Chris Walker told the audience, “I know my son would want me to continue on and bless as many people as possible with my gifts—dedicated to my beloved son.”
Dave Koz also gave a shoutout to Jeff Lorber, who had lost his home in the Pacific Palisades fire. “Jeff Lorber is one of the icons of contemporary jazz, and he sadly lost his home. He’s performing today, and we’ll cheer him on.”
The entire day reflected the generosity of spirit and love from the contemporary jazz community—demonstrated by the Paulos for organizing the event, Dave Koz for hosting, the artists who volunteered their time to perform, and the jazz lovers who purchased tickets to support the cause.
