Last night during NAMM 2019, Bassist Marcus Miller demonstrated his extraordinary technique last night at the Sire USA demonstration. Miller is sponsored by Sire Basses, which feature the Sire Marcus Miller M7, Sire Marcus Miller V9, Sire Marcus Miller V7 TS, Sire Marcus Miller P7 4st (Alder), and Sire Marcus Miller V7 Vintage 4st (Alder), and more.
Marcus Miller is a Grammy-winning musician who is a jazz bassist/bass clarinet/composer/producer and has worked with Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, Luther Vandross and David Sanborn, among others. He is also a featured artist at many jazz festivals worldwide.
The veteran bassist first gave a demonstration to the participants then invited other bassists to jam with him upfront. The highlight of the evening was Richard Bona of Cameroon, a Grammy-winning jazz bassist, who joined Marcus Miller in a dynamic session, where the musicians took turns riffing off one another.
After the demonstration, Miller greeted and talked with the musicians at the seminar. Another well known bassist and colleague, Victor Wooten, was in the audience. After the demonstration, Miller greeted and talked with the musicians at the seminar. It was a photographer’s dream as Marcus Miller, Richard Bona, and Victor Wooten posed for my camera!
