I have been in the publishing industry for over 10 years. It started with ISM. We had just graduated college and were searching for something to inspire us. What began as a concept with simple business cards developed into an internationally recognized movement and arts non-profit, welcoming all to share their creative ideas, giving a voice to many who shared a passion for art with no avenue to explore their talent.Our mission is to support collaborative creativity by producing international art experiments and providing free public programs.

Ali Saam is an Iranian-born actor who came to the United States to finish his education and pursue a career in acting. He disclosed that being an actor, or being involved in any of the performing arts in the Middle East was not tolerated when he was there. Lucky for him his family chose to leave and make their home here in America.

Are you an athlete? If so, most likely you participated in an organized sport in high school. As a young girl, facing challenges relating to competing can be daunting. I for one feel I benefited from playing sports (tennis and track) and as a result have used those experiences to guide me through my adult life. I am the stepmother of a graduating high school senior who has participated in the sport of girls’ gymnastics. She started her gymnastic career as a sophomore.

He studied Art History at the University of Montreal, which ultimately made him the perfect candidate to curate The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier: From the Sidewalk to the Catwalk at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.

Former top model Robyn Peterson has written a riveting one-woman show that recounts the trials and tribulations of a young girl and her journey up the ladder to success in the world of modeling, from her daring mad dash to New York to her first experience on the professional catwalk.

Producer/Director Gilbert Adler (Valkyrie, Superman Returns, Starsky & Hutch) has a heart for veterans and he shows it in a big way by producing probably one of the most significant events of his life. Instead of producing a film, he’s producing an event—a fundraiser at the Playboy Mansion sponsored by the Thalians on April 30, 2011 to help United States veterans.

There’s a lot to be said for free “stuff!” From my observations, people are really inclined to make an appearance if they’re promised a loaded swag bag. I used to suffer from that affliction until my office storage room began to overflow—that being one of the main reasons I personally stopped attending gifting suites.

I ran into legendary George Clinton from the group Parliament-Funkadelic at the 5th Annual Denim and Diamonds for Autism Benefit last fall. He arrived in a Rolls Royce, dressed in Native American headdress and an impressive entourage to boot! I was at the red carpet when his “chariot” arrived. Just as he used to do back in his heyday, once again George Clinton proved that the entrance is everything!
