L.A.’s Fashion Platform” FBI Fashion Show and FundraiserFashion Business Inc. (FBI) celebrated its 10 years of being L.A.’s Fashion Incubator and the go-to resource for all newcomers to the fashion business on October 15, 2013, with a well-produced event and fashion show, featuring collections from nine Los Angeles designers. Girl band Nylon Pink and a well-choreographed dance number rounded out the entertainment for the show, which was co-hosted by Extra’s Renee Bargh.
Highlights from the runway show were the trademark bohemian patchwork prints from Johnny Was whose final piece stood out with a richly-printed maxi silk dress that took over the runway; Continuous had an energetic, hip-hop presentation of hoodies and shorts; Rosario’s collection of bright jersey pieces with clear plastic inserts transported everyone to the 60s; a slinky group of gold styles from Ximena Valero; and a promising collection from Nameless USA.
Frances Harder, Founder of FBI, and Moss Adams presented the MAFI award to Shay Todd.
