By Marilyn Anderson | October 7th, 2012 | Category: Gift Guides & Gift Suites | Comments Off on FAB FOOD, GLITZY GOODIES, AND SHINING STARS – All at DORIS BERGMAN’S 3rd ANNUAL PRIMETIME EMMY® STYLE LOUNGEEvery year before the Emmys, celebs get a chance to partay . . . and partake of some great gifts at Pre-Emmy Gifting Suites. The best of the best is Doris Bergman’s Annual Primetime Emmy Style Lounge at Café La Boheme—world renowned for its delicious cuisine and décor.
This year’s was no exception—in fact, it was exceptional! The party offered 5-star cuisine, exotic cocktails, and lots of camaraderie to kick off the upcoming 64th Annual Primetime Emmy® Awards. Over 100 Hollywood notables walked the Red Carpet and headed through Café La Boheme’s Tuscan villa doors to celebrate and honor the television industry’s Emmy® Nominated actors, former Emmy® winners, presenters, stylists, and industry VIPS.
Hosted by Qmadix, presented by Whitening Lightning, and co-produced by Michelle Faulkner, the hot September 12th afternoon offered an incredible array of fashion for him and her, the finest in body and skin care, the newest in electronics, custom hats, fun footwear, stunning jewelry, unique timepieces, gourmet cuisine, delectable goodies, exotic cocktails, and more!
Some of the celebrities and VIPs enjoying the afternoon included Primetime Emmy Nominee Mare Winningham from “Hatfields & McCoys,” Dot Marie Jones from “Glee,” Jason Ritter from “Parenthood,” Ben Feldman from “Mad Men,” and Stacey Tookey from “So You Think You Can Dance.”
Others joining in the festivities were Cleopatra Coleman from “Step Up Revolution,” Abby Lee Miller from “Dance Moms,” Fiona Gubelmann of “Wilfred,” Carolyn Hennessy from “True Blood,” Jamar Rogers from “The Voice,” and Jean-Luc Bilodeau & Melissa Peterman from “Baby Daddy.”
Always looking happy and stylish were William Shatner, Eva LaRue, Richard Grieco, Reid Scott from “Veep,” RJ Mitte from my favorite drama “Breaking Bad,” and LisaRaye McCoy & Victoria Rowell from “Single Ladies.”
Since it’s the Awards Season with upcoming Emmys and Oscars, I decided to name my own Awards for all the fantastic gifts given out at the suite. Since I’m Marilyn, I’ll call them the “Mari’s!”
AND NOW FOR THE “MARI” NOMINEES!
For Best Clothing and Accessories –
Mon Atelier by Ali Rahimi. Ali and his partner John greeted the stars as they came in, showing a selection of their magnificent custom-made gowns. There are few words to describe these gowns except glorious, stunning and unique! What’s so interesting about Mon Atelier is that they design each gown specifically for the woman wearing it. First, you look at their samples; next, choose what you like about each; and then, Ali will create a gown perfectly styled to YOUR choices, that is exactly what you want—fitted like a dream to you—and making you look absolutely one-in-a-million. Several stars will be wearing his elegant eye-catching fashions at the Emmy events to come.
Jewelry by Twisted Silver. These are trendy and fabulous necklaces, earrings, rings, and bracelets for gals who want to “think outside the jewelry box.”
Fashions from Roadkill Ranch. I LOVE this place! Roadkill is an eclectic boutique in Orange County with the absolutely coolest clothing, shoes, and accessories inspired by the 1940s and 1950s. The jacket on display was a Gucci-like pattern—it looked soooo expensive, but the price was soooo affordable. I can’t wait to go to the store and just shop, shop, shop.
Jewelry by LusciousS – A fun and flirty fashion line of jewelry for sirens everywhere. The designs embody a woman’s various emotions while satisfying her ever-changing jewelry cravings. They’re available in sterling silver, 18kt vermeil, and gunmetal with semi-precious gemstones. Ladies, tell your boyfriends, now!
Ollin Arm Candy – For environmentally conscious fashionistas, these handbags, accessories, and home goods are made from recycled materials. Defective candy wrappers are rescued before being taken to landfills and used in the construction of each bag. It can take up to 4,000 candy wrappers and four days for an individual artisan to construct one bag. And the best part, they look fantabulous!
Radar Watches – These bright and fun timepieces offer an innovative, interchangeable design that allows you to create your own watch color combinations. Their goal is to get people to rock the RADAR with their own custom colors by interchanging the watch face and wrist band components. They are oh sooooo cool! And speaking of cool colors, my next nominee . . .
TEROX Footwear – Made in the USA, these flipflops and slides fit any lifestyle. With sassy colors like Pink Flamingo, Sweet Tangerine, Grape Vine, Fresh Cranberry, Aqua Lagoon, Deep Ocean and Coffee Bean, these are comfy and fun and let your feet “talk the walk!”
And the “Mari” goes to:
Ollin Arm Candy. Hey, I’m a sucker for candy of any kind—and now I can enjoy it without calories! I love this fashion line because it’s green and gorgeous, too.
Next are my Mari Nominees for Home, Décor, Cosmetics and More!
iHarmonix Q-i-sound Stereo Bluetooth Speakers by Qmadix Speakers – Light, compact and—here comes the best part—they’re capable of providing true two-channel stereo audio without wires, so you can position each speaker wherever you like, on different shelves, by the bathroom shower, outdoor patio, or on anywhere in the room!
Natures Flavors – With over 8,000 Natural and Organic products, Natures Flavors has been creating from the essence of nature for over 25 years and is a leader in nutritional wellness. Their fragrance diffuser holds any of their fragrance oils and can brighten up any room in your house or office.
Spontuneous: The Game Where Lyrics Come to Life! – A party game that should excite anyone who loves “American Idol,” “The Voice,” or downloading iTunes. Move over, Pictionary and Trivial Pursuit! Spontuneous is a game for people who love music!
Whitening Lightning: Instead of an afternoon at the dentist, spend 20 minutes at home with the Dial A Smile Professional Home Teeth Whitening Kit to get your smile looking radiant and white. They also offer a Super Booster Whitening Pen and Color Your Smile Lighted Lip Glosses.
And the “Mari” goes to:
Whitening Lightning. C’mon, who wouldn’t like to save on trips to the dentist? Besides, I’m a smiling kind of gal, and now I’ll be able to smile brighter and whiter than ever!
