Zac Posen Fall 2012 Runway

The parade of gowns worn by recognized top models were distinctly themed with embroidery, origami folds, and Oriental draping. Even Anna Wintour, who sat front row (and in good company with Dita Von Teese and Brad Goreski), smiled in approval of Posen’s seamless collection. The gowns were colored with deep jewel tones and rich pastels. The fabrics were a nice array of silks, jacquards, and other similar fabrics. The models’ hair and makeup reminded me of elegant birds, emphasized by the feather accessories worn in their hair. This was a remarkable collection defined by beauty and a bit of fairytale from the Far East.
