Looking back at fashion runway as we approach the fall season, I’m taking in the essence of Chanel.
In my humble opinion, when looking at upcoming fashion, it all hinges on the setting. Chanel’s setting mimicked a winter wonderland with a display of beautiful clothing, excitement in the air, well-styled well-accessorized models and . . . actress Penelope Cruz walked the runway.
With the recent deprivation of fashion runway, it has been fun peering into that pre-covid existence. I have been enjoying some seasoned catwalks, especially the Chanel Ready-to-Wear fashion show for Paris Fashion Week Womenswear Fall/ Winter 2019/2020 that happened on March 5, 2019, in Paris, France.
Chanel became a household name ever since Coco herself launched her collection in Paris then several decades later her line of accessories, and fragrances. The collection extended itself to those well-known, well-crafted purses for decades, brandishing the all-familiar Coco Chanel logo synonymous with elegance and style. Chanel has always been creative and artistic throughout the continuous evolution of their accessories.
The seamless looks throughout this Parisian show are a reminder of what used to be just a few months prior to this year’s pandemic. Looking back to better days at the beauty of fashion and the art of the runway, I’m reminded that on occasion, just a remote dose of free-flowing fashion, brilliantly constructed by Chanel could be all that’s needed to bring me back to a place of exquisite style!
